Jana Dönszelmann
Hi! I'm Jana (she/her) I'm a software developer from Delft, The Netherlands. I like travelling, music, playing my guitar, cats 𑄝 ꠹, and having a good time with friends.
I work for Hexcat and the RustNL foundation. A large part of my job is to work on rustc, the rust compiler, being a member of the compiler team. Additionally, every year I help co-organize Rust Week, the largest rust conference. I like teaching, and before I worked on rustc, I used to teach computer science and embedded systems at the University of Delft, giving and developing three courses called Software Fundamentals, Software Systems, and the Embedded Systems Lab. All these courses used Rust as their primary programming language.

I speak Dutch, prefer English, you can try your luck with French but about that I make no guarantees, and just maybe I understand some of your German...
You can find me elsewhere online as:
I'm also available on discord and matrix but those I prefer not to publish here. Feel free to ask me for those though! And finally, if it's about rust, I'm active on rust's zulip too.
You might be interested in some of the things I've worked on over the past years.
rust-scopegraphs
An implementation of the scopegraphs algorithm in Rust, which I worked on together with Aron Zwaan.
NO large language models were or are used in any of my open source contributions or anything I do. Not for proof-reading, not for trying out random ideas, not for generating code or text. LLMs and the companies that create and sell them destroy communities and the world around us. If you see something that I made online: that is me, and I take full responsibility for it.
